UFC 285 poster released
The fight poster for Jon Jones' long-awaited return at UFC 285 has been revealed
The UFC has released the official event poster for UFC 285, as Jon Jones’ hugely anticipated heavyweight debut looms.
Jones, having been inactive for three years, makes his comeback to the octagon with only one goal in mind and that is of course, obtaining another UFC championship. With the departure of the current heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, "Bones" will compete for the vacant heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane, a former interim champion, an unbelievable match up and one we certainly can not wait for.
Three Blockasset athletes are also on the card as unbeaten Shavkat Rakhmonov takes on Geoff Neal, Dricus Du Plessis faces Derek Brunson after an impressive win recently over Blockassets Darren Till, and Ian Garry faces off with Kenan Song in what promises to be an unforgettable night of MMA.
UFC 285 takes place March 4 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
Ngannou originally was his expected opponent, but behind the scenes both fighters clashed with the UFC over pay and contract demands.
Gane is coming into the fight after an impressive performance and a knockout win over Tai Tuivasa at UFC Paris, which got him straight back on track after a loss to Ngannou for the heavyweight belt at UFC 270.
In the co-main event of UFC 285, flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko defends against Alexa Grasso.
