Candy Digital Merges With Palm NFT Studio to Onboard Sports Teams Into Web3

Candy Digital and Palm NFT Studio have officially merged to form a unified entity under the name Candy Digital. This collaboration aims to create immersive experiences for various industries such as sports, entertainment, art, and culture.

By joining forces, the companies can expedite the development of innovative experiences for renowned brands including Major League Baseball (MLB), NASCAR, WWE, Netflix, and Warner Bros Discovery, among others. MLB, Netflix, and WWE were already part of Candy Digital's portfolio of partners prior to the merger, while Warner Bros Discovery had invested in Palm NFT Studio.

Candy Digital has the backing of notable web3 creator Gary Vaynerchuk and Michael Novogratz's digital asset firm Galaxy Digital.

Following the merger, Scott Lawin, the CEO of Candy Digital, will lead the newly combined company. Meanwhile, Daniel Heyman, Co-Founder and CEO of Palm NFT Studio, will assume the role of President at Candy Digital.

Scott Lawin expressed his thoughts on the merger, highlighting the groundbreaking digital experiences and innovative creative tools that both Candy Digital and Palm NFT Studio have pioneered. He emphasized the mission of the combined entity to establish a new category of brand experience centered around co-creation, loyalty rewards, and community connections.

Candy Digital claims that its NFT platform, Candy.com, has already minted over 2 million digital collectibles and facilitated nearly 500,000 marketplace transactions.

Daniel Heyman reflected on Palm NFT Studio's founding purpose, which was to empower artists, creators, and fans to forge new connections. He emphasized the growth of their web3 communities and the development of technological infrastructure for leading projects on the Palm network over the past two years.
